Wasserkuppe
The Wasserkuppe is used for sailing in summer and offers a historical insight into this sport with the Sailing Museum.
Furthermore, there is a summer toboggan run for young and old on the Wasserkuppe.
Only a few minutes walk away, you can reach the source of the river "Fulda".
Via the Hochrhönstraße you will be guided through the beautiful and unique landscape of the Rhön. From here you can look into the distance and let your thoughts run free. That is why this approx. 25 km long route is also called the "land of open distance".
Dreiländer - Eck
On the Hochrhönstraße between Bischofsheim and Fladungen is the hiking car park "Dreiländer-Eck", where the federal states of Hesse, Thuringia and Bavaria cross. Directly connected here is the "Black Moor", which is an impressive accessible high moor.

Point-Alpha
At the authentic site of history, the Point Alpha Memorial presents the confrontation of the two power blocs during the Cold War and the painful period of the inner-German division. For four decades, the outposts of NATO and the Warsaw Pact stood side by side here.
Point-Alpha is a great journey into history and is located in Geisa, which is about 30 km away.
